On November 8th, Northwest News Channel 8's Amy Troy did a 3 minute news spot on me and my recovery from meth. I met Amy for the first time at the Saturday Portland Farmers' Market where she became interested in my story, which is on every loaf of bread that I sell. I was very excited to get my message out that there is life after meth: people can turn their lives around. I hope that my example can help other people who may be facing challenges similar to those that I have faced in life.
David Plechl, from the Portland Tribune, heard about my bread from a friend of his who loved my killer bread. When David tested my bread and saw my label, he decided that my life story would make a great Tribune article. He came over to my bakery one day and took some pictures, and we sat down and talked for a while. I really love to share my story with people who will listen, and I love the feedback that they give me. Take a moment to read the great article that David wrote about me!
