Not Your Basic Burger

BreadHeads love this rockin' cheeseburger on DKB's 21 Whole Grains and Seeds Burger Buns with snappy lettuce and grilled onions.

  • Makes 2 serving

    INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Dave’s Killer Bread 21 Whole Grains and Seeds Burger Buns

  • 2 grass-fed beef burgers

  • ½ white onion, thinly sliced into rounds

  • 1 tbsp. avocado oil

  • 2 slices Swiss cheese

  • 2 pieces butter lettuce

    Directions:

  1. Grill burgers 5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. In the last minute, add slices of Swiss cheese to melt.

  2. While burgers grill, heat avocado oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onion and sauté until golden, about 8 minutes.

  3. Build burgers: stack burger buns with lettuce, grilled burgers, and sauteed onions.

  4. Enjoy!
